My short story based on the Dyatlov Pass Incident was published in Witness in 2011. I’d written this piece years before Hollywood treated it, and it had a mystery to me that perhaps has been lost.  At the time I wrote it, the case was closed and none of the images of the dead were public. The case has been reopened by the Russian government and now pictures of the dead are widely disseminated on the internet.  My story can be read online here.
